Betsey’s Butterfly was designed with inspiration from a butterfly block that appeared in Aunt Kate’s Quilting Bee, a magazine for quilt lovers that was published by Glenna Boyd of Burleson, Texas, from 1962 until 1979.
The Kansas City Star was a popular place to find quilt block patterns weekly from 1928 through the mid-1930s. Tori’s Triplet block, #7 in the AQS Vintage Block series, was inspired by a Kansas City Star pattern that appeared in 1933.
