The AQS Quilt 2018 project for March is Medallion Quilts!
At the beginning of the year, you made a list of all the quilt making techniques you’d like to try in 2018 and put them in a jar. Then, you chose your own personal color of the year. You are ready!
If you missed last month’s project, check it out. We created Landscape Quilts.
Our style for this month is Medallion.
Medallion quilts feature a central block or motif with multiple borders.
Medallion quilts can have applique centers with pieced borders surrounding or all applique.

Any combination of techniques can be used in the creation of a medallion quilt. Your imagination is your only limit.

Draw your technique from your jar, think about clever ways to play with your color of the year, and start creating.
Next week we will offer you a project you can give a try or use as inspiration.
Give us a shout in the comments below letting us know your technique of choice or share with us on our Facebook group AQS Project Parade.
Let’s get started!
Will you be offering the pattern for Sew Whatevers by Roseanne Smith? If not, can you direct me where I can find it? Thanks!!
Good Morning Dee, The center of this quilt is from the book, Susan McCord by Barbara Brackman & Friends. The borders are all original from the quilting group, Sew Whatevers. Hope this helps. Thanks, Betsey
This is absolutely beautiful. I would like to know the name of the pattern and where to get it
Hi Ann, The names of the quilts and the quilters are listed under each quilt. You may want to reach out to quilters about the pattern. Thanks, Betsey
Thank you.
