Millennial Wallpaper

Fabric Requirements:
Dark Rust— 5/8 yard
Light Tomato— 1/4 yard
Light Pink— 1 1/2 yards*
Dark Gold— 2 1/8 yards*
Backing— 4 1/4 yards
Binding— 1/2 yard
*pattern assumes 42” usable fabric width
Cutting Directions:
Dark Rust:
8 strips 2 5/8” x WOF
Light Tomato:
2 strips 2 5/8” x WOF
Light Pink:
8 strips 2 5/8” x WOF
3 strips 10 1/2″ x WOF; subcut into 12 squares
Dark Gold:
8 strips 5 3/8” x WOF; subcut into 50 squares and cut on the diagonal once
3 strips 10 1/2″ x WOF; subcut into 12 squares
Binding:
7 strips 2 1/2″ x WOF
Block Assembly
On-Point Nine Patch
Sew four strip sets Light Pink, Dark Rust, Light Pink and press to the dark. Subcut fifty 2 5/8” sections from the strips sets.
Sew two strips sets Dark Rust, Light Tomato, Dark Rust and press to the dark. Subcut twenty-five 2 5/8” sections from the strips sets.
Assemble sections into twenty-five nine patches, 7 7/8” unfinished size. Refer to diagram for color placement.
Lay a Dark Gold triangle over a nine patch right sides together (RST), being careful to line up the centers. Sew and press to the triangle. Repeat on three remaining sides. Make 25 blocks measuring 9 1/2” unfinished.
Hourglass Block
Mark on the wrong side of a 10 1/2” Light Pink square on the diagonal once. Layer RST with a 10 1/2″ Dark Gold square and sew a quarter inch from both sides of the marked line. Cut apart and press to the gold. Make 24 half square triangles.
On the backside of 12 half square triangles, mark a diagonal line, crossing the seam allowance. Layer two half square triangles RST and sew a quarter inch from both sides of the marked line. Cut apart, press, and trim to 9 ½” square. Make 24 quarter square triangles.

Millennial Wallpaper Quilt Assembly
Alternate On-Point Nine Patch Blocks and Quarter Square Triangle blocks to make seven rows of seven blocks. Look at quilt for placement. Piece together rows.
Quilt and bind as desired. Now all you have to do is enjoy your Millennial Wallpaper quilt!
