How do you make the very center of each 16″ block in the Oh Little Star quilt?
Hi Bev, You can use any of the 75 Christmas Countdown blocks available. I’ve linked to the specific blocks used in each example to help. Thanks, Betsey
I have completed many of the Countdown patterns and have just finished the Twilight Flurries. This was a real challenge as there were so many errors in the patterns for cutting and directions. Blocks 4, 5,7,10,12,15,16,17,19,21,22,24,25. Quality control is important and needs to be evaluated when posting these blocks. Thanks.
Thanks for the feedback LeAnn! We regret that you’ve had so many frustrations using our patterns. I’ve passed along your feedback to our pattern editors so they can review those blocks. Thanks! -Emily
Have corrections been made?
Hi Cheryl, Yes, please let us know if you have any issues. Thanks, Betsey
This has nothing to do with this particular pattern. Several weeks ago I printed a wall hanging pattern “Wash Your Hands”, however I did not print “all” of it. My error. I have tried several times to find it again so that I could complete my project. I thought that after seeing this and than trying it I would subscribed to your society. Since I have been unable to find it again I am glad that I did not jump in and this is disappointing to me because so far I have enjoyed the emails that have been sent to me.
Hi Kathryn, I believe you are looking for the APQS (longarm company – not us, we’re AQS American Quilter’s Society) blog where they have the Wash Your Hands pattern: https://www.apqs.com/apqs-video-tutorial-and-free-pattern/. Hope this helps. Thanks, Betsey
How can I get the pattern for Musical Gift? I got a free pattern but I some how didn’t get all of it. I’m missing the fabric requirements.
I have been looking forward to the December quilt (quilt of the month) all year. Have done several of them, but this one has been on my ‘bucket list’. Have you changed the time frame?
Thank you
I have done a quite a lot of paper piecing or callled foundation piecing. Do you have patterns that i might purchase? Thanks.
Hi Norma, You can visit shopAQS.com for lots of great books and downloadable patterns to purchase. Have a great day! Take care, Betsey
Someone else asked 2 years ago and didn’t really get an answer. The directions for Oh Little Star does not include the cutting and piecing instructions for the center block. I need help with this. Just telling us to use any block doesn’t tell us specific cutting and block dimensions.
Hi Barbara, Here is the info from the quilt instructions: Block 6 from the 2017 Christmas Countdown is used as an example in this quilt. You’ll want to click on the link for block 6 in the post. Thanks! Betsey
