Background Fabric – 1/2 yard (includes borders)
Backing Fabric – 2/3 yard
Pi Fabric – 1/4 yard
Cutting Instructions:
From the background fabric, cut:
(1) 16 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangle
(1) 8 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangle
(3) 3″ x 3″ squares for Half Square Triangles
(1) 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ squares
(1) 10 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangle
(1) 10 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangle
(1) 5 1/2″ X 3″ rectangle
(1) 8 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangle
(1) 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangle
(1) 5 1/2″ x 3″ rectangle
From the border fabric, cut:
(2) 2 1/2″ x 16 1/2″ strips
(2) 2 1/2″ x 20 1/2″ strips
From the backing fabric, cut:
(1) 20 1/2″ x 20 1/2″ square
From the Pi fabric,cut:
(2) 10 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles
(1) 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangle
(3) 3″ x 3″ squares for Half Square Triangles
(1) 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ square
(1) 12 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangle
(1) 5 1/2″ x 3″ rectangle

Using the 3″ squares, make 5 half square triangles. There will be one left over.
Size the half square triangles to 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ square.

Size to 4 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
Sew a 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ background square to one end of the elongated half rectangle, and a 10 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ pi fabric rectangle to the other as shown below.
Add a 16 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ background rectangle to the top.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”51422″ img_size=”full” image_hovers=”false”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Sew the two parts of the pi block together.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”51427″ img_size=”full” image_hovers=”false”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Sew the 2 1/2″ x 16 1/2″ borders to the sides of the block.Sew the 2 1/2″ x 20 1/2″ borders to the top and bottom of the block.
Use the placement diagram to draw the circle on the block. Download the placement diagram here. Be sure to tile when printing the pdf.
Embroider the circle.
Lay the pillow back over the block, right sides together and sew around the edge, leaving an opening to turn.
Turn the pillow and stuff.

Love this pattern! The print friendly version is a little wonky – the pictures do not line up with the instructions that go with them. I had to number the pictures and then number the steps that went with them.
