At the AQS Member area, we are getting ready for winter with 30 Days of Snowflakes. Each day features a new frosty delight, as we stitch through December.
Join us in the AQS Member area and make all thirty snowflakes, a different one each day.
Here as a sample snowflake for you to enjoy!
Download and print the pattern any size you wish.
Hand embroider with your favorite floss or Perle cotton using any stitch you love. Embellish with French knots and/or beads.
Share your creation on our Facebook Group, Project Parade.
On the embroidered snowflakes, would it be better to make a paper pattern for each snowflake to get the positioning right? Or would you suggest using waste canvas over the design and then remove the extra threads? My embroidery would be done by hand as I don’t have embroidery machine.
Hi Margaret, I tape my pattern to a light source (window) and position my fabric over the pattern where I want it, then trace the design to the fabric. Hope this helps. Thanks, Betsey
