Try something different!
Make multiple crosses from three-dimensional mock cathedral window blocks as a tribute to Easter, or give the blocks a twist and change up the colors for a bright approach to Spring.
The fresh new Cathedral Reflections quilt is sewn by machine and quilted as you go.
It’s a perfect lightweight quilt for Spring and Summer.

It looks fun to make. But where are the templates?
Thank you so much for the free cross pattern.
I have been looking for one for sometime now.
Thank you again and God Bless.

Beautiful pattern but in the instructions there is no mention of batting . When/where does one add the batting? How can it be a quilt if there is no batting??
Please advise?
Carol
Hi Carol,
To add batting, cut 3″ batting squares for each circle. Place them on one side of the two circles at step five, before sewing the circles together. Secure with a pin from the right side of the fabric, use basting spray or a fusible batting.
In my samples I worked up, I didn’t like the weight of the batting with my homespun fabrics so I skipped it. With many of the folded technique blocks, batting isn’t always used. It depends on what you like. If batting is too heavy, you can also substitute flannel squares in place of batting.
How disappointing that the directions to the free block – cathedral reflections, are not in English.

Hi Becky. Try checking the language setting on your computer as the directions were created in English. Hope this helps. Sylvia Thomas, AQS Social Media Manager
Thanks so much for the pattern. Is there a separate pdf for the A, B and C templates?
Where are the templates??? I would love to try this, but it would be nice to have the templates. Thank you.
Where is template C? Would be nice if the pattern was complete. Just glad I didn’t cut the entire quilt and waste all that fabric!
As a lot of you have noticed, our PDF is not complete. We left off the pages for the templates. We are going to fix that now. So very sorry for our mistake. Please check back. Sylvia Thomas, AQS Social Media Manager
Thanks bunches and oodles for the templates, Sylvia. It looks like a fun pattern! Have a nice Easter!
You are welcome!
