Half Square Triangles
Mark the back of the 2″ white squares diagonally from corner to corner. Use this as a guide to make half square triangles. Layer with the 2″ colored squares and sew 1/4″ from the drawn line. Cut on the drawn line to make two half square triangles.
Size the half square triangles to 1 1/2″ each.
Make the following half square triangles:
(8) Dark blue and white
(4) Dark purple and white
Remember each set of squares makes 2 half square triangles.
Dark Purple Floating Diamonds
Lay a 1 1/2″ dark purple square on the end of a 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ white rectangle and sew from corner to corner. Use the assembly diagram to check the direction of the angle. Measures 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″. Make 4.

I just found this page, looks really neat. Can’t wait to get started. Are all of the blocks 8 inch? Is there a way to make them 12 blocks ? They are so pretty.
Also thanks for letting me join .
