Countdown to Paducah 2018: Block Five

Cutting Instructions:
From the white fabric, cut:
(2) 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ squares
(4) 2 1/2″ X 4 1/2″ rectangles
(2) 1 7/8″ x 1 7/8″ squares, cut diagonally once to make 4 triangles
From the dark blue fabric, cut:
(8) 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ squares
From the light blue fabric, cut:
(8) 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ squares
(4) 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles
From the dark purple fabric, cut:
(1) 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″ squares, cut diagonally once to make 2 triangles
Instructions:
Center Unit
Sew a 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ light blue, white, and dark blue square together in a column as shown below. Sew a 1 7/8″ white triangle to the top. Make 2.
Sew a 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ dark blue square to a light blue square. Sew a 1 7/8″ white triangle to the top. Make 2.
Sew the two columns together as shown below. Repeat with the remaining column set.
Sew a 2 7/8″ dark purple triangle to the top of each column set. Invert one column and join the columns together to complete the center.
