Pat Holly shares techniques from her Best of Show quilt, Saffron Splendor, at AQS QuiltWeek—Grand Rapids, Michigan 2015. Pat’s excitement is contagious! Her quilt, Saffron Splendor, was inspired by a trip to India.
She used silk fabric and decorative stitches to create the unique background fabric, then machine appliquéd the next layers of design. Pat added tiny hand-stitched sequins to give it added sparkle!
Enjoy this interview as Pat speaks with Bonnie Browning, AQS Executive Show Director.
