Nancy Prince is the author of the AQS book, Thread Painting with Style.
Nancy’s introduction to needle and thread came from a very creative mother who introduced her at an early age to a sewing machine. As a result, fabric and a trusty assortment of sewing machines have been a large part of Nancy’s life, but it wasn’t until about 11 years ago that she literally stumbled into her adventure with thread painting.
Finding herself in totally unchartered territory and with few references to perfect her skills, she drew on her sewing skills and her somewhat primitive artistic skills to begin a wonderful journey. There was a ton of trial and even more error in her first few quilts, but in a short period of time everything came together and she knew she had found her passion.
Nancy has won numerous awards for her quilts and she enjoys sharing ideas, techniques, and more importantly, laughter and fun with her students.
In addition to her husband, Tom, they has three grown sons and eight adorable grandchildren — and three talented daughters-in-law. She spends most of her time juggling her family, quilting, and teaching. This passion for thread painting has enriched her life and keeps her centered and focused.

Have fun thread painting with Nancy!
