American Made Brand Fabrics:
Red Brick
Light Yellow
Cutting Instructions:
From the red brick fabric, cut:
(4) 5″ x 5″ squares
(4) 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ squares
From the light yellow fabric, cut:
(1) 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ square
(4) 5″x 5″ squares
Instructions:
Using the 5″ red brick and light yellow squares, make 8 half square triangles by marking a diagonal line on the backs of the light yellow squares, layering right sides together, and sewing a 1/4″ from the line on each side. Trim to 4 1/2″.
Using the 2 1/2″ red brick squares and the 4 1/2″ light yellow square, make a square in a square by marking the backs of the red brick squares, lay one in each corner of the light yellow square and sew on the marked line. Trim and press.
Block Assembly
Sew the units into rows as shown below. Sew the rows into the block.
Block measures 12 1/2″ unfinished.
