Download Foundation Paper Piecing Pattern and English Paper Piecing Templates.
- Print or make 4 copies of Template A.
- Print or make 12 copies of Template B.
- Print or make 4 copies of Template C.
- Print or make 4 copies of Template D.
- Print 4 copies of Unit E paper piecing pattern.
- Print 4 copies of Unit F paper piecing pattern.
- Print 2 copies of Unit B paper piecing pattern.
- Print 1 copy of Unit H paper piecing pattern.
- Print 1 copy of the Center Template.
- Print 1 copy of the Corner Template.
- Print 1 copy of the Square in a Square Template.
Instructions:
Center Unit
Paper piece Unit B using the numbers for placement order. Make 2.
Paper piece Unit H. Make 1.
Sew a Unit B to each side of Unit H.
Remove the paper and use the Center Template to mark sewing lines.
Square in a Square Units
Paper piece Unit F using the numbers for placement order. Make 4.
Remove the paper and use the Square in a Square Template to mark sewing lines.
Corner Units
Using templates A, B, C, and D, English Paper Piece the center unit for step one in foundation paper piecing Unit E, using the corner template as a guide.
Use the English Paper Pieced unit to foundation paper piece Unit E. Make 4.
Remove the paper and use the Corner Template to mark sewing lines.
Block Assembly:
Arrange the units as shown in the block assembly diagram below. Sew the units together into rows, then sew the rows into a block.
Block measures 12 1/2″ x 12 1/2″ unfinished.
