American Made Brand Fabrics:
Light Tomato
Dark Blue
Light Sky
Download Foundation Paper Piecing Patterns.
- Print 3 copies of Unit A paper piecing pattern.
- Print 3 copies of Unit B paper piecing pattern.
Instructions:
From the light sky fabric, cut:
(1) 7″ square, cut in half diagonally
(1) 13″ square, cut in half diagonally
From the light tomato fabric, cut:
(2) 4 1/2″ squares, cut in half diagonally
Triangle Units
Paper piece Unit A using the numbers for placement order. Make 3.
Paper piece Unit B using the numbers for placement order. make 3.
Sew Unit B to a 4 1/2″ light tomato triangle, matching the 90 degree point first.
Sew Unit A to the other side of the light tomato triangle.
Trim the light tomato triangle to match the paper piecing units.
Remove the papers.
Make 3 triangle units.
Block Assembly:
Arrange the units as shown in the block assembly diagram below. Sew the units together making a triangle, then sew to the sky blue triangle.
Block measures 12 1/2″ x 12 1/2″ unfinished.
