Cutting Instructions:
From the white fabric, cut:
(8) 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ squares
(4) Scraps for foundation pieced center larger than 3″ square
From the dark blue fabric, cut:
(4) 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ squares
(1) Scrap for foundation pieced center at least 2″ square
From the light blue fabric, cut:
(4) 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ squares
(4) 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles
(2) Scraps for foundation pieced center around 3 1/2″ x 1 1/2″
(2) Scraps for foundation pieced center around 2″ x 1 1/2″
From the dark purple fabric, cut:
(8) 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ squares

Instructions:
Center
Using the foundation paper piecing pattern, follow the numbers for assembly. The center unit measures 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″.
Faux Flying Geese
Mark the back of the 1 1/2″ dark purple squares diagonally from corner to corner. Lay a 1 1/2″ dark purple square in the corner of the 2 1/2″ white square. Sew on the drawn line from corner to corner. Cut 1/4″ on the outside of the drawn line. Press. Make 8.
