Former AQS Director of Education Melissa Winters interviews Margaret Solomon Gunn about her quilt, Autumn’s Surrender, first place winner in the Small Wall Quilts: Longarm Machine Quilted category at the 2015 Paducah QuiltWeek Show & Contest.
The design is original and the fabric is silk/cotton blend. According to Margaret, silk is not as hard to work with as you might imagine, especially when you pre-interface the pieces before cutting. Take a moment to listen to Margaret’s tips and hear about her inspiration for this stunning quilt.
