Here’s a design from Helen Squire’s book, Quilting Designs for Sashing, Blocks & Borders. It’s a ribbon effect that will look great in every corner, in a block, or down your borders! Add a small floral to tuck wherever you like.
Whether you hand or machine quilt, you’ll love the flexibility of this design. Click here for your free quilting pattern, Betty’s Twist & Turn. It includes a straight design and several corner adaptations, as well as a small floral. Need a better fit? Simply adjust the size with the percentage indicator on a copier.
thanks so much for this ribbon quilting pattern, I’ve been wanting to try something like this and this is just the push I needed.
Thank you so much for this pretty quilting motif. I know just where to use it!
Thank you!
This is perfect for 2 quilts…one that’s been sitting for a couple of years waiting to be quilted and one I’m working on for Christmas. This is the perfect quilting design for both of them. Like Doris said…”Just the push I needed”. Thank you!!!
That’s great Jackie! I’d love to see pics of your finished quilts. If you want, send them to socialmedia@americanquilter.com. ~ Sylvia Thomas, AQS Social Media Manager
This is a quilting pattern? I didnt get that from this. I got a strip of fabric turned into a ribbon. I will have to go back and check but I dont believe I saw directions on how to do this as a quilt design.
Melissa, This pattern from Helen Squire is best used within the sashing. It would probably not work well for continuous line quilting because you would have to backtrack in several places. Would definitely be beautiful for hand quilting.
