Introducing FIRE & ICE, Viewer’s Choice winner at AQS QuiltWeek® – Des Moines, Iowa 2013. AQS Author, Kimberly Einmo, designed and sewed this quilt using Aurifil Quilt Patchwork and Embroidery Threads. Judi Madsen, of Green Fairy Quilts, provided exquisite quilting. FIRE & ICE was displayed at AQS QuiltWeek – Des Moines, Iowa, October 2-5, 2013, as part of the Modern Quilt Challenge.

Kimberly is an author, designer, and internationally known instructor of quilting, machine embroidery, and heirloom sewing techniques. While living in Germany for four years, she designed original quilts to capture the beauty and essence of the many different countries and exciting cities she visited in Europe. Her articles and quilts have appeared in a variety of publications, including Fons and Porter’s Love of Quilting and American Quilter magazines. She has also designed a popular and highly successful series of mystery quilt classes, which are in high demand both locally and abroad. Kimberly enjoys sharing her passion for quilting and sewing. Her goal is to travel the world teaching at quilt shows, guilds, and on quilting cruises. When not traveling, she currently resides in Manassas, Virginia, with her husband, Kent, and their two sons.
